Atlanta Family Seminar 2009
The Atlanta chapter of API hosted a one day Marriage and parenting
seminar on September 26, 2009, at Atlanta Christian Assembly, Atlanta,
GA. Dr. Thomas Idiculla took classes on effective parenting and Leslie
Verghese, LCSW engaged the young people on God's Design for Marriage.
The seminars started at 9:30 am and concluded at 4:30 pm. Praise and Worship was led by the youth of Atlanta Church of God. Despite rainy weather and other inclement conditions, this first venture was attended by a good number of parents and young people. Both seminars were very interactive throughout the morning and afternoon sessions. The final session was a combined one which included feed back from participants. Throughout the day, the participants kept echoing the request for more of such endeavors to be held in the city to help the parents and young people who are in need. The event was coordinated by the leadership of the Atlanta API team comprising of Pastor Bency Thomas, Shibu Cherian and Dr. Paul Joseph.
The participants were also blessed by the presence of Rev. Samuel Mohanraj from Chennai, the author of 'Power and Purpose in the Wounds of Jesus'. More information about the book will be availble at this site soon.
