Agape Partners International
Important terms and acknowledgments for engaging with API services.
Agape Partners International (“API”) provides biblically-based Christian/pastoral counseling, prayer, and spiritual support services to foster emotional well-being, personal growth, and maturity in Christ. Prior to engaging with API’s ministry, all participants (“Counselees”) must review, understand, and acknowledge the following terms:
API’s counseling services constitute pastoral and spiritual guidance exclusively and are not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care, or therapy provided by licensed mental health professionals. API Counselors are trained in Christian pastoral counseling and offer biblically-informed support; they are neither psychologists, psychiatrists, nor licensed clinicians.
While API maintains confidentiality as a sacred trust consistent with Proverbs 11:13 and Ephesians 4:25, disclosures may be required by law, ethical mandate, or to prevent imminent harm to self or others (e.g., abuse, suicide risk, or threats of violence).
API’s counseling integrates Christian faith, Scripture, prayer, and spiritual guidance as foundational elements. Counselees must be open to and comfortable with discussions rooted in biblical truth, the work of the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ as the model for transformation.
Counselees retain full personal responsibility for their choices, actions, and decisions. API provides prayerful guidance, encouragement, and biblical counsel, but outcomes depend upon the Counselee’s response and God’s sovereign work.
API cannot guarantee specific outcomes, healing timelines, or results from counseling. Spiritual growth and restoration occur uniquely under God’s timing and the Counselee’s faithfulness (Philippians 1:6).
In emergencies requiring immediate intervention (e.g., suicidal ideation, acute crisis), Counselees must contact 911, local crisis hotlines, or qualified professionals. API Counselors will direct to appropriate resources but do not provide crisis intervention.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, API, its counselors, officers, directors, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to counseling services, including emotional distress, relational decisions, or spiritual matters.
By initiating contact, scheduling sessions, or engaging with API’s counseling ministry, the Counselee acknowledges and accepts these terms without reservation. Questions regarding this Disclaimer should be directed to the assigned Counselor prior to commencing services.
